Entering the dental field in 1970 as a private practice chairside dental assistant, Dr. Kathy began a life-long relationship with dental healthcare as a profession. Four years later in 1974, she enrolled at Middlesex County College (Edison, New Jersey) in the pursuit of a dental hygiene degree. Graduating in 1976 with subsequent licensure, she joined in private practice as a Dental Hygienist. Several years later, in 1980, and after a significant move to the south, she applied and was accepted to dental school in Charleston, South Carolina at The Medical University of South Carolina. Graduating in 1984, she went into dental practice in South Carolina while her husband (Dr. Ray) finished dental school as well. Obtaining a dual license in both South Carolina and the Northeast Regional Jurisdiction (13 states), they then moved to New York City and began practice anew. Dr. Kathy maintained her active practice until 1991 in Wappingers Falls, New York until leaving active patient care due to medical reasons. Dr. Kathy maintains her active participation in the practice that she and her husband built in Wappingers Falls through administrative management of the practice. Dr. Kathy's 43 some odd years of professional dedication shine through in all aspects of Drs. Ray and Katherine's family practice. Her sage advice and patient management skills form a vital and dynamic aspect of the practice today as they have from the beginning and as anticipated well into the future.
Dr. Kathy and Dr. Ray have been married for 38 years, and they have one child. In her spare time, she enjoys many hobbies, including Qigong (Chinese exercise), walking, cooking and reading. She is also a devoted dog lover!
